Last night we held #QuickDraw Live. It was sweaty. It was fast-paced. But, above all, it was bloody good fun.

Over a hundred artists packed the brand new House of Illustration gallery – including Warwick Johnson-Cadwell, Joe List, Robert Ball, Lizz Lunney, Elliot Kruszynski, Sally Jane Thompson and Joe Decie – for two hours of fast-paced illustration.

We set a new theme every 15 minutes, ranging from Love in the 22nd Century to My Daily Nemesis, and asked artists to draw their response and then fill the new gallery’s walls with their work.

Hundreds of people also took part from home, tweeting in their illustrations, which were beamed on huge projectors around the gallery. Within half hour, #QuickDraw began trending on Twitter and tens of thousands of people got to see the awesome work that artists around the UK were creating.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part. The art that was created in 15-minute slots was mind blowing and we hope you enjoyed following the action as much as we did. We’d also like to thank our partners Wild Seed and House of Illustration for making it happen.

Below is a small selection of the hundreds of illustrations that were created last night. To see the rest of them, simply scroll through the #QuickDraw hashtag on Twitter. Pour yourself a brew first though – there’s a lot to see!
